Making jars and teapots today for wood firing at NAU with Jason Hess, Candice (?-sorry, I’ll find it), Barry Carpenter. We’ll be firing the catenary wood/soda kiln. It’s similar in design to my wood kiln in WV, however it shares a chimney with another wood cat (no soda). I’m looking forward to firing with wood again – last time was the last firing of the Com Shaw Yao wood kiln of mine and Gary Roper that gave us so many sweet pots!! It’s been over a year, so way too long. Also will be nice to fire with and get to know a new (to me) crew of great potters. I’ve been enjoying coffee from one of Barry’s mugs lately and am looking forward to seeing what everyone else is making for the firing, to commence the weekend of Nov. 20!!

New pots, new designs, fresh out of the gas/wood/soda kiln! Some pots are only available direct from my studio or online store. New pots will continue to be uploaded as I can all week. Keep checking…
